Amazon Web Services has announced the availability of Oracle Applications on its Cloud Computing platform called EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud). This provides an alternative to running and managing on-site packaged applications.
The Oracle modules available on Amazon’s EC2 platform include:
- Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.3 Applications
- Oracle-E-Business Suite 12.1.3 Database
- Oracle PeopleSoft CRM 9.1 PeopleTools
- Oracle PeopleSoft CRM 9.1 Database
- Oracle PeopleSoft ELM 9.1 PeopleTools
- Oracle PeopleSoft ELM 9.1 Database
- Oracle PeopleSoft FSCM 9.1 PeopleTools
- Oracle PeopleSoft FSCM 9.1 Database
- Oracle PeopleSoft PS 9.1 PeopleTools
- Oracle PeopleSoft PS 9.1 Database
- JD Edwards Enterprise One – ORCLVMDB
- JD Edwards Enterprise One – ORCLVMHTML
- JD Edwards Enterprise One – ORCLVMENT
Current Oracle Applications licences are transferable to the Cloud platform or new Cloud-specific licenses may be obtained. The Applications are 64 bit Oracle Linux based and fully supported according to Amazon:
All of these applications are certified and supported by Oracle. Customers with active Oracle Support and Amazon Premium Support will be able to contact either Amazon or Oracle for support.
